It’s September, and that means school is right around the corner! We want to see our children and teens grow in confidence, knowledge, safety, and courage. That’s not just because we love our children, but because they are future leaders, parents, and teachers. In short, our young people are the future.
Skills for a Challenging World
To help prepare young people for the future, our Krav Maga Kids classes help children and teens develop vital skills. What kind of skills? These, and more:
How to socially, physically, and positively engage with peers
Listening carefully to instructions
How to de-escalate confrontations with bullies
Avoiding situations that could lead to bullying or physical violence
How to disengage from a potentially threatening situation
Fleeing a physically threatening situation
How to physically and confidently defend themselves when necessary
How Krav Maga Works for Young People
First and foremost, our kids’ classes are fun! Since Krav is practical above all else, we also teach it in a practical way. And it’s highly adaptable to different defense situations. Knowing this, our instructors are always letting our young students learn in collaborative, dynamic ways.
Our classes for kids and teens are taught in separate classes for the two age groups. Instructor David teaches the classes for kids, and Instructor Sasha teaches the classes for teens and near teens. And both would love to see your child or teen in their Krav Maga class!
The Heart of the Matter
One of the best assets Krav Maga imparts to its students is adaptability. This not only benefits students, but instructors, too, because they can adapt how they teach Krav to different age groups and ability levels. This allows us here at Krav Maga San Francisco to deliver an unfailing commitment to build kids and teens, starting from day one in class. We not only love to see young people prepared, safe, and confident, but we help them grasp the tools to go forward and walk in peace, one dynamic class at a time.
