Greetings. Happy New Year from all of us at San Francisco Krav Maga Training Center.
2003 was a great year, and we're excited about what's to come in 2004. We will use this space to keep you up to date on what's going on at the Training Center. As always, your feedback is welcome and encouraged. We look forward to working with you to make San Francisco KM TrainingCenter a great place to learn!

New Year's Special Rate
For dedicated Krav Maga students who know they're going to enjoy training here over the next year, we offer this rate:
Prepay 1 year for $999, get 3 months for free!

Please take the time to go to our student feedback page to let us know if there are any classes or times you would like to have offered here. You will notice that Sundays are now an option, and we will accomodate you if there are enough students who wish to train on Sundays.

Yellow Belt Test 12/2003
Congratulations to the new Yellow Belts! These students passed a challenging 6 hour exam, in which their spirit, strength, and technical ability were pushed to the limit. The yellow belt curriculum includes stances and combatives such as punches, kicks, elbows as well as defending against a variety of choke attacks, headlocks, wrist grabs, and beginning groundwork.

Teacher Update
Our first ground fighting instructor, Zee Vjesaliscu, is back with us again, having come back from a short stay north of the border. Look for her to get back in the rotation in the near future. Sifu Peter Pryputniewicz is going down to Krav Maga headquarters this month to get certified for Level 1 teaching, so expect to see him teaching L1 in late January in addition to his usual Wednesday night Strike and Fight. Eric Powell continues to offer law enforcement training on the 3rd Saturday of each month, but the class times are now 1:30 - 3:30 pm. These courses cover issues such as use of force, arrest and control, ground fighting specific to law enforcement personnel, and much more. A full description is on the Law Enforcement page.

Cross Training at KMSF
We offer more than one of the best self defense and fighting systems in the world today. A full complement of fitness training classes are available here also. Cross training stimulates your mind and body to break through training plateaus, strengthens weak points and enhances your self defense skills. Flexibility prevents injury and allows you move more quickly, with less self-imposed resistance. Endurance allows you to deal with stress, and get more out of all of your Krav Maga classes. It is much easier to learn and progress in class when you are not gasping for breath, or suffering from muscle soreness and tightness.

Cross training promotes balance; physically, mentally and spiritually. Krav Maga's well known mandate is to teach people how to defend themselves against violent attacks, but it is also committed to establishing in ourselves a sense of self-worth. Your self is worth preserving, and to that end we are dedicated to offering a curriculum that attends to your health as well as fighting skill.
